WRITERS ON THE STORM

During the last seventy years of the modern UFO secrecy, a number of books, brimming with evidence and analysis, have been written. Here are a few I've enjoyed reading (and writing).

A.D. AFTER DISCLOSURE: When the Government Finally Reveals the Truth About Alien Contact

A.D. After Disclosure is the first book to devote itself to what the world will be like after we accept UFO reality.

What if UFO secrecy ended tomorrow? The transition from B.C. (Before Confirmation) to A.D. (After Disclosure) is the ultimate "what if?" scenario in which the calendar is reset and history begins again.

This work of speculative non-fiction combines meticulous fact-finding from historian/researcher Richard M. Dolan and forward-leaning scenarios from journalist/screenwriter Bryce Zabel on the world's most mind-bending subject. The authors predict radical changes after official acknowledgment that at least some UFOs are intelligently controlled craft from somewhere other than Earth. A.D. After Disclosure isn't afraid to make mind-blowing, specific predictions:

  • Congress will hold Watergate-style hearings and ask secret-keepers, "What did you know and when did you know it?"
  • The first decade A.D. (After Disclosure) will be like a high-tech 1960s, spawning massive cultural and societal change.
  • Abductees will file a class-action suit against the government for withholding critical information.
  • All the textbooks on planet Earth--from history to science--will need an immediate review.

Whether disclosure leads to social panic or ushers in a new era of unity and peace, it will undoubtedly be a game-changing event.

Once There Was a Way: What if The Beatles Stayed Together?

image83

Once There Was a Way is the 2018 winner of the Sidewise Award for Alternate History.

What if The Beatles continued to make history as the greatest rock-and-roll band ever? John, Paul, George and Ringo could have chosen to reflect their life changes within the band rather than destroy it. This book reads as the rock journalism account of how that happened.

"We know The Beatles let it be, but what if they worked it out instead? Once There Was a Way gives life to every fan's fantasy. Bryce Zabel has created a great adventure full of twists and turns that never were, but might have been." ―Chris Carter, host, Breakfast with the Beatles (Sirius/XM Radio)

We all know the tragic story by now. After seven years as the most popular rock-and-roll group the world has ever seen, The Beatles―torn apart by personal and creative differences―called it quits in 1970, never to play together again.

Once There Was a Way: What if The Beatles Stayed Together? is a story of another reality, the one we wished had happened, where the Fab Four chose to work it out rather than let it be. This book is no mere fairy tale, but reads as rock journalism crafted from the people and events of our own history, shaped to create a brand new narrative in which John, Paul, George, and Ringo find a way to stay friends and keep the band together. Imagine there was more. Lots more. It's easy if you try.

SURROUNDED BY ENEMIES: What if Kennedy Survived Dallas?

image84

Surrounded by Enemies is the 2015 WINNER of the Sidewise Award for Alternate History.

What if Kennedy survived Dallas?

President John F. Kennedy has lived through the ambush in Dealey Plaza. America holds its collective breath, seeing its president nearly executed in broad daylight. But as the country marches on, the office of the President finds itself under a much more insidious type of fire. Political scandal, an endless war, and a country coming apart at the seams take the 1960’s in a terrifying new direction, and both John and his attorney-general brother, Bobby, struggle to stay ahead of their enemies, political and otherwise, and steer America toward a greater future.

Bryce Zabel is a master of the cover-up and the conspiracy, creating the Emmy-award winning series DARK SKIES. SURROUNDED BY ENEMIES is the first novel in the new Breakpoint series―each book exploring seminal moments in popular history and taking readers on a journey into a mirror world where events are both unexpected yet startlingly believable.

This savvy, fiercely intelligent novel, perfect for readers of Harry Turtledove, brings together elements of political thriller and page-turning history, enthralling readers with a sharply written take on the America that was, and the America that could have been.
